Students have an opportunity to earn a B.S. in one of the following areas: Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, and Forensic Science. An integrated undergraduate/graduate (B.S. / M.S.) program is available for students interested in taking a deeper dive into the field of Biotechnology.

Students engaging in research through BMB 488 have two support networks: scientists at different career stages in the research laboratory, and a peer group of other students who participate in the seminar portion of the class together.
