Students have an opportunity to earn a B.S. in one of the following areas: Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, and Forensic Science. An integrated undergraduate/graduate (B.S. / M.S.) program is available for students interested in taking a deeper dive into the field of Biotechnology.

Erin Kelly, a rising Senior, earns Peter T. Luckie Award for Outstanding Research at the
Spring 2020 Undergraduate Research Exhibition.

Rachel Swope has been awarded a Goldwater Scholarship by the Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation.

Several undergraduate students within the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BMB) have been selected to receive 2020 Erickson Discovery Grants.

Meet Our Students
Meet Bryce, a Junior majoring in both Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and Chemical Engineering. After graduation he plans to pursue his education in engineering and be involved in research that interfaces with the medical setting impacts people directly.

Meet Caitlyn, a Senior majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Not only does she want to become a dentist, but someone who helps people and helps ease the fear of anxious patients, working with them develop the smile they have always wanted.

Meet Emma Stockham, a Sophomore from Stafford, Virginia, majoring in Microbiology. Her interest and love for science was influenced by her late father, Rex Stockham, who proudly served his country as a Special Agent in the FBI.
