I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Science, Minor in Forest Science, teaching certifications in Agricultural and Environmental Science, and a Master’s of Science in Forest Resources from the Pennsylvania State University. Prior to my advising career, I worked at Penn State for twelve years as a National Park Service contractor, Assistant Data Manager, and Invasive Species Specialist. I also taught field dendrology here at PSU as well as sustainability and conservation topics at the Penn State Conservation Leadership School. In addition to working with students and helping them succeed in and out of the classroom, my professional interests include invasive species ecology and management, dendrology, taxonomy, and botanical nomenclature. On weekends you’ll find me in my native plant garden, hiking and camping on Pennsylvania State Forest land, and catching-up on episodes of shows like Naked and Afraid, MARS, Continent 7, and The Cosmos.

I am the Undergraduate Program Adviser for the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department and work with students who are pursuing degrees in BMB, MICRB, and BIOTC. My role is to support, challenge, and encourage students as they navigate their educational paths here at Penn State. If I am your assigned adviser, please use Starfish or call #814-863-5487 to schedule an appointment with me. Students not assigned to my roster must call to schedule.

Add/Drop Week virtual walk-in appointments are brief 15-minute appointments intended to help students with Add/Drop questions and issues.  A longer scheduled appointment should be made for course planning, letter requests, change-of-major, and other specific issues.

Since all appointments are going to be conducted via ZOOM, please use Starfish to schedule a same-day appointment instead of using the usual walk-in appointment kiosk station in the Advising Center.
