About Me

I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Biology from Appalachian State University and my Masters of Health Science in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Research Interest

I am interested in the transmission of arthropod-borne diseases, especially the malaria parasite. My previous research experiences have ranged from studying a transmission-blocking vaccine against Lyme disease to studying anopheline mosquito foraging behavior in Northern Zambia. I plan to continue down the medical entomology route to help discover potential therapeutic targets and interventions for these diseases.
