About Me

As the Undergraduate Academic Program Coordinator, I manage and maintain all student records for the undergraduate program in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department.  I process drop/add forms, course substitutions and waivers, manage student advisers’ assignments, maintain the application process for Undergraduate Independent Research opportunities, and serve as a resource to faculty, staff, and students on policies, procedures, grades, degree requirements, and course requirements.
 
In addition to supporting the administrative needs for the undergraduate students, I build and maintain the Graduate and Undergraduate courses in LionPATH for the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate undergraduate student functions from New Student Orientation to graduation
     
  • Provide information to students and faculty on BMB, MICRB, and BIOTC majors
     
  • Assist the Associate Head for Undergraduate Affairs and Program Advisers
     
  • Support academic advising activities for the department
     
  • Provide advising resources to faculty, staff, and students
     
  • Serve as a resource for faculty and instructors on policies, procedures, grades, degree audits, course requirements
     
  • Process petition forms for course substitutions and waivers
     
  • Approve majors/minors for graduation
     
  • Manage application process for Undergraduate Research Opportunities
     
  • Organize special events for undergraduates
     
  • Assist with maintaining undergraduate web pages
     
  • Generate statistical reports using iTwo, LionPATH, eSteward
     
  • Facilitate undergraduate scholarships/endowment awarding
     
  • Build and maintain Schedule of Courses for the department
     
  • Assist with scheduling general-purpose classrooms
     
  • Supervise office work study students, departmental proctors, and undergraduate teaching assistants
