BIOL 489 Biology of Ecohealth in Tanzania offers students the chance to make new connections between human health and the environment alongside Penn State professors, Maasai pastoralists, Hadza hunter-gatherers, amongst a wide variety of East Africa's iconic animals including elephants, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, leopards, baboons, wildebeests, and zebras.
The University College Dublin Physics program allows Penn State students to complete their algebra- or calculus-based physics requirement in a single eight-week period in the beautiful and vibrant capital of Ireland.
The first option is calculus-based Introductory Physics II for Engineers, which transfers to Penn State as PHYS 212 (GN) General Physics: Electricity and Magnetism and PHYS 214 (GN) General Physics: Wave Motion and Quantum Physics for 6 credits. Students who choose this track will also take Irish and European History of the Early 20th Century for 3 credits (for a total of 9 credits).
The second option is algebra-based Physics for Life Sciences, which transfers to Penn State as PHYS 250 (GN) Introductory Physics and PHYS 251 (GN) Introductory Physics II for 8 credits.
The University College Dublin Organic Chemistry program allows Penn State students to complete their entire organic chemistry requirement in a single 8-week period in the beautiful and vibrant capital of Ireland. All students take the full 8-credit sequence required by many science majors, medical and health programs, and MCAT preparation: CHEM 210 Organic Chemistry, CHEM 212 Organic Chemistry II, and CHEM 213W Laboratory in Organic Chemistry—Writing Intensive.
The Biomedicine on the Adriatic program is hosted at the University of Split (U Split) School of Medicine in Croatia and offers students a flexible opportunity to gain hands-on medical experience, do research in medical fields, or take medical courses that can serve as a preview of future graduate coursework.
The Florence and Elba: Marine Biology in Italy class equips students to explore Florence and the warm Mediterranean waters around the Island of Elba, while performing marine fieldwork in the Tuscan Archipelago National Park and Royal Beach, and earning three 400-level biology credits.
The Umbra Institute's Perugia Summer STEM program offers a range of biochemistry and mathematics coursework for students in the physical, mathematical, and life sciences, and the opportunity to live in the heart of Italy amidst the gorgeous and scenic hill city of Perugia. Students may take any of the following courses:

DIS: Copenhagen and Stockholm feature a wide range of summer courses and research labs spanning the fields Biology, Neuroscience, Medicine, and Ecology.
There are a wide variety ways to gain international research and internship experience! We offer hands-on placements in labs and workplaces spanning five continents, for students to obtain their needed professional and practical experience with valuable global and intercultural components.
