Mary Ogborn, a graduate student in the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics, is interested in supermassive black holes and galaxy evolution. She previously studied accretion disk winds around the central black holes of active galaxies. She is passionate about outreach and public education because of her previous job as a planetarium assistant. She received a B.S. with honors in physics from James Madison University.
