Aratrika Mustafi is a 1st year PhD. student in Statistics at the department of Statistics at Pennsylvania State University. She earned her bachelor's degree in Statistics from Lady Brabourne College, Kolkata under University of Calcutta and her Master's degree in Statistics from Columbia University in the City of New York. Her research interests are the mathematical and statistical foundations of Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Optimal Transport Theory, Data Privacy and Astrostatistics. She wishes to encourage and inspire more women to pursue the mathematical sciences through her work.
