Anna María Calderón, graduate student in biology, is interested in population genetics, evolutionary genomics, and computational biology. She plans to study how bird populations will adapt to changing climate and habitat. She has previously worked on a variety of conservation projects and is excited to develop her computer modelling and wet-lab skills to make meaningful contributions in the field of conservation genomics. She is also passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion in STEM fields. Calderón has a bachelor's degree in biology with an ecology and evolution emphasis from the University of California, Merced.
