My hometown is Fairfax, Virginia. I graduated from the University of Virginia in 2024 with a B.S. in Biochemistry and a minor in Psychology. During my undergrad, I interned at Charlottesville Free Clinic, a nonprofit pharmacy, and continued volunteering after my internship ended. Despite coming from a background in biochemistry, the forensic application of chemistry was always of interest to me. I chose to attend Penn State due to their small cohort sizes as well as the split focus on courses and research. After meeting with the faculty, staff, and other prospective students during interviews, I felt confident that I would fit in well with the program.
At Penn State, I’m currently working on research with Dr. Campbell to develop a method of analyzing a panel of 33 date-rape drugs in urine using LC-MS/MS. I am also acting as the event planner for Delta Delta Epsilon, the honors forensic society.
