Xiufan Yu receives the Science for Social Good Fellowship

Xiufan Yu (3rd year; co-advised by Lingzhou Xue and Runze Li) received the Science for Social Good Fellowship from IBM Research (https://www.research.ibm.com/science-for-social-good/) to develop novel statistical and machine learning methods towards new societal challenges for Summer 2019. Xiufan will work together with IBM Research Staff Members to analyze data from the CityLink Center at Cincinnati and study the best interventions that could help people to get out of poverty.
