Eberly College of Science non-tenure-line faculty promotions, effective July 1, 2025

Fourteen non-tenure-line faculty members in the Eberly College of Science have received academic promotions, effective July 1, 2025.

The college’s tenured and tenure-line faculty promotions have also been announced.

The following individuals have been promoted to assistant teaching professor:

  • Nicholas Stepanik, Department of Mathematics 

The following individuals have been promoted to associate teaching professor:

  • Russ deForest, Department of Mathematics
  • James Kowalski, Department of Mathematics
  • Mike Kusluski, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

The following individuals have been promoted to  teaching professor:

  • Seunghoon Bang, Department of Mathematics
  • Gregory Broussard, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
  • Joseph Houck, Department of Chemistry
  • Linlin Jensen, Department of Chemistry
  • Svetla Jivkova, Department of Mathematics
  • Glenna Malcolm, Department of Biology
  • Stephen Van Hook, Department of Physics

The following individuals have been promoted to associate research professor:

  • Jung In Kim, Department of Statistics

The following individuals have been promoted to research professor:

  • Chen Chen, Department of Chemistry
  • Maria Krasilnikova, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
