Bricker Endowed Scholarship Awarded to David Kaye of Chambersburg

David Michael Kaye, a 1998 graduate of Chambersburg High School, has been awarded the first Norman H. and Norma J. Bricker Scholarship at Penn State. Kaye, a fourth-semester mathematics major at University Park, receives a monetary award for the spring semester 2000.

The Bricker Endowed Scholarship was established in 1998 by Norman H. and Norma J. Bricker to recognize and support undergraduate students in the Penn State Eberly College of Science. Recipients are selected from graduates of the Chambersburg Area School District and the Shippensburg Area School District.

Mr. and Mrs. Bricker are the owners of the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. Mr. Bricker is a 1973 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School. He attended the Penn State Mont Alto Campus and graduated with honors in 1976 from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. Mrs. Bricker is a 1972 graduate of Shippensburg Area Senior High School. She received her B.A. in 1976 and M.A. in 1978 from Shippensburg University. The Brickers live in Shippensburg with their two children, Dane and Elise.
