What are Special Focus Sessions?

Special Focus Sessions (also called Information Sessions) are short, topic‑driven presentations offered by SPONSORING professional schools (MD, DO, PA, & chiropractic programs) and program partners (test prep & postbacc programs) attending the Penn State Health Professions Expo. These sessions give students a deeper look into specific aspects of health‑related careers, admissions expectations, or unique program offerings that may not be covered at the general fair tables.

What is a Health Professions Fair?

The Health Professions Fair is an interactive event that brings together representatives from medical, dental, PA, PT, OT, pharmacy, veterinary, public health, nursing, postbacc, and other health‑related professional programs. Healthcare employers and test prep companies will also be present.  At the fair, students have the opportunity to explore a wide range of healthcare career pathways and connect directly with the schools and organizations that train future health professionals. Students can come and go throughout the event and do not need to stay for the duration of the entire event. Join us when you schedule allows!
