"Water: The Next Frontier" is the theme of the 2010 Penn State Lectures on the Frontiers of Science, a series of free public lectures that will begin on Saturday, January 23. This free public minicourse will take you on a tour of the latest research on water, the miracle molecule that supports all life on Earth.

"Water: The Next Frontier" is the topic of the 2010 Penn State Lectures on the Frontiers of ScienceHear scientists on the frontiers of this research reveal their latest discoveries, from the molecular mysteries of this simple combination of hydrogen and oxygen, to how water changes our environment and our planet, to the political and social issues that affect both water quality and the use of scientific knowledge, to new water-management revelations from an ancient civilization.

Designed for the enjoyment and education of residents in Central Pennsylvania communities, the lectures take place on six consecutive Saturday mornings from 11:00 a.m. to about 12:30 p.m. on the Penn State University Park campus.

The 2010 Penn State Lectures on the Frontiers of Science are jointly sponsored by the Penn State Eberly College of Science and the Penn State Institutes of Energy and the Environment.
