Eberly College of Science tenure-line faculty promotions, effective July 1, 2024

Twenty tenured and tenure-line faculty members in the Eberly College of Science have received academic promotions, effective July 1, 2024.

The college’s nontenure-line faculty promotions have also been announced.

The following individuals have been promoted to professor:

  • Joseph A. Cotruvo, professor of chemistry, Department of Chemistry
  • Rebekah I. Dawson-Rigas, professor of astronomy and astrophysics, Department of Astronomy & Astrophysics
  • Donghui Jeong, professor of astronomy and astrophysics, Department of Astronomy & Astrophysics
  • Qunhua Li, professor of statistics, Department of Statistics
  • Yingwei Mao, professor of biology, Department of Biology, Eberly College of Science
  • Kohta Murase, professor of physics and of astronomy & astrophysics, Department of Physics
  • Michael Schweinberger, professor of statistics, Department of Statistics
  • Sarah E. Shandera, professor of physics, Department of Physics
