Register Now for the Summer Symposium in Molecular Biology: Frontiers in Metallobiochemistry III

18 May 2014

The 33rd Summer Symposium in Molecular Biology at The Pennsylvania State University, "Frontiers in Metallobiochemistry III," will be held at the University Park campus June 4–7, 2014. This year’s symposium, hosted by the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, will gather the twenty-one top scientists in the field of metallobiochemistry to highlight recent progress in this diverse research area.

The symposium will feature three plenary research talks from leading researchers in metallobiochemistry. Jacqueline K. Barton from the California Institute of Technology will present “DNA-Mediated Signaling” on June 5 at 7:30 p.m. The next evening, Markus R. Ribbe from University of California, Irvine will give his talk, “Hydrocarbon Formation by Nitrogenase." To close out the symposium, Andy Borovik, also from the University of California, Irvine, will give the third and final plenary research talk of the symposium, “Synthetic Chemistry as a Window into Metallobiochemistry."

Registration for this symposium ends on May 23, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. EST. To learn more about the symposium and to register, please visit the program’s website, symposium.psu.edu.
