Azadeh Mousavi, the president of the Graduate Women in Science (GWIS) and a graduate student in civil and environmental engineering recently shared with us her experiences in GWIS and why graduate students should join.
Q: What is your research area?
AM: Nature-based solutions for river restorations.
Q: Why did you join the Graduate Women in Science?
AM: I joined GWIS at Penn State because it's an inclusive community that offers valuable opportunities for both personal and professional growth.
Q: What is your favorite part of the Graduate Women in Science?
AM: I enjoy the sense of community and collaboration in GWIS, especially the interactions I share with fellow co-chairs and members.
