11 April 2000

Stephen Minnick, a graduate assistant in the lab of Dr. Stephane Coutu, assistant professor of physics, has been awarded a Graduate Student Researchers Program grant from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The 3-year award will fund Minnick's research on the CREAM balloon experiment, which is designed to study the elemental composition and energy of cosmic rays at high energies. Minnick is one of 23 researchers selected to receive the highly competitive award by NASA's Office of Space Science, which received over 200 applications.
