All nine journals, collectively known as ACS Au, will be compliant with the most stringent open access requirements. The publications will be led by Professor Shelley Minteer of the University of Utah; however, each journal will have a deputy editor who will oversee the daily flow of manuscripts.

ACS Bio & Med Chem Au will be a broad scope, open access journal that publishes short letters, comprehensive articles, reviews, and perspectives in all aspects of biological and medicinal chemistry.

ACS Nanoscience Au will be an open access journal that publishes original, fundamental, and applied research on nanoscience and nanotechnology research at the interfaces of chemistry, biology, medicine, materials science, physics, and engineering.

The Department of Chemistry congratulates Booker and Schaak on their new appointments.
