The Penn State Eberly College of Science, with support from the Rainbow Science Network and the Colleges of Information Sciences and Technology, Engineering, Earth and Mineral Sciences, and Agricultural Sciences, will present “LGBTQ+ in STEM Leading the Way” on Wednesday, April 16, from 6 to 8 p.m., in 114 McAllister Building on the Penn State University Park campus.
The event will feature LGBTQ+ faculty, trainee scientists, and engineers taking pride in their successes while navigating their careers. A keynote will be delivered by Andrea Tapia, dean of the College of Information Sciences and Technology, followed by a panel discussion with representation from faculty, staff, and students from the different colleges. Dinner will also be provided.
Attendees at the University Park campus are asked to register online by 5 p.m. on Monday, April 14.
A separate registration form is available for those at Penn State’s Commonwealth Campuses who wish to attend remotely. A Zoom link will be provided upon registering.
