Chemistry graduate student Kelsey Schlegel recently received an Outstanding Student Poster Award in the Physical Chemistry Division at the 258th National Fall 2019 American Chemical Society (ACS) meeting in San Diego.

Her poster titled the “Synthesis of ZnSe Mn2+ doped nanoparticles for tuning charge carrier lifetimes,” was selected from among 144 posters in the Physical Chemistry division. Schlegel is a PhD candidate and NSF fellow in the lab of Professor of Chemistry John Asbury, where she synthesizes and characterizes the electronic properties of ZnSe and Mn doped ZnSe nanoparticles for use in photocatalysis.

Please join the Department of Chemistry in congratulating Kelsey Schlegel.
