Forbes 30 Under 30: Alumna Sylvia Biscoveanu

Penn State physics alumna Sylvia Biscoveanu, now a postdoc at Northwestern University, studies gravitational waves—ripples in spacetime caused by cosmic events like merging black holes and neutron stars.

Biscoveanu graduated from Penn State in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in physics with honors, a bachelor's degree in Spanish, and minors in math and music performance. She was also a Schreyer Scholar in the Penn State Schreyer Honors College.
