Fifteen tenured and tenure-line faculty members in the Eberly College of science have received academic promotions, effective July 1, 2022.
The College’s nontenure-line faculty promotions have also been announced.
The following individuals have been promoted to professor:
- Sarah Ades, professor of biochemistry and molecular biology, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
- Amie Boal, professor of chemistry and biochemistry and molecular biology, Department of Chemistry
- Tomas Carlo-Joglar, professor of biology, Department of Biology
- Isabella Cattadori, professor of biology, Department of Biology
- Ramesh Giri, professor of chemistry, Department of Chemistry
- Ying Gu, professor of biochemistry and molecular biology, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
- Chad Hanna, professor of physics, Department of Physics
- Chaoxing Liu, professor of physics, Department of Physics
- Toan Nguyen, professor of mathematics, Department of Mathematics
- Edward O’Brien, professor of chemistry, Department of Chemistry
The following individuals have been promoted to associate professor:
- Cui-Zu Chang, associate professor of physics, Department of Physics
- Jessica Conway, associate professor of mathematics, Department of Mathematics
- Joseph Cotruvo, associate professor of chemistry, Department of Chemistry
- Wenrui Hao, associate professor of biology, Department of Biology
