Eberly College of Science promotions in academic rank, effective July 1, 2018

Fourteen tenured and tenure-line faculty members in the Eberly College of science have received academic promotions, effective July 1.

The College’s fixed-term faculty promotions have also been announced.

The following individuals have been promoted to professor:

• Wendy Hanna-Rose, biochemistry and molecular biology
• John Harlim, mathematics and meteorology
• Monica Medina, biology
• Melissa Rolls, biochemistry and molecular biology
• Jun Zhu, physics

The following individuals have been promoted to associate professor:

• Charles T. Anderson, biology
• Lu Bai, biochemistry and molecular biology
• Jeffrey S. Case, mathematics
• Santhosh Girirajan, biochemistry and molecular biology
• Chad R. Hanna, physics and astronomy and astrophysics
• Qunhua Li, statistics
• Chaoxing Liu, physics
• Toan T. Nguyen, mathematics
• Sarah E. Shandera, physics
