Eberly College of Science promotions in academic rank, effective July 1, 2017

The following is a list of academic promotions for tenured and tenure-line faculty members in the Eberly College of Science at Penn State, effective July 1.

The College’s fixed-term faculty promotions have also been announced.

The following individuals have been promoted to professor:

• Lasse Jensen, chemistry
• Miguel A. Mostafá, physics
• Scott T. Phillips, chemistry
• Jie Shan, physics

The following individuals have been promoted to associate professor:

• Le Bao, statistics
• Miriam A. Freedman, chemistry
• Yuexing C. Li, astronomy and astrophysics
• Yingwei Mao, biology
• Jan S. Reimann, mathematics
