The Nobel Prize is considered by many to be the most prestigious prize in physics.  How did it gain that prestige and how was it that that little old Sweden became the its steward?  This talk seeks the answer to these questions through examination of the history of its inception, and process for deciding who should get the Nobel Prize in Physics.
