Topological materials have been extensively studied and the topology of band structure is usually characterized by the Berry curvature which is known to induce the anomalous Hall effect (AHE). In this talk, I will introduce new electric and optical phenomena (e.g. the nonlinear AHE, and bulk photovoltaic effect) beyond the Berry curvature scenario in quantum materials.
