Astronomy Colloquium
Abstract: The Astropy Project is a community effort to develop an interoperable ecosystem of open-source tools to enable astronomical research and education from the Python programming language. In this talk, I will briefly overview the functionality of the code, our open-development workflow, and our current funding status. I will also discuss ways to join our community, contribute to the Project, and our recent efforts to formalize the governance structure. Finally, I will describe the tutorials and other educational resources maintained by the Astropy Learn team.
