Major: Chemistry

I decided to pursue science, specifically chemistry, because I have always had this innate desire to help people. I quickly realized that I could help those around me by pushing the frontiers of science and human knowledge. Now I am very proud to be a Puerto Rican woman in STEM, helping to change the face of science while simultaneously pushing the barriers of our knowledge. I have met a lot of incredible women in the Eberly College of Science, in my department, and in student organizations like Graduate Women in Science, who have been mentors to me in different aspects of my life. One of those mentors has been the Associate Dean for Diversity & Inclusion, Dr. Kristin Finch.
