What motivates you to do/pursue science and/or medicine?
As someone who is a chemistry major and math minor, there are three main points:
1) My faith, specifically Christianity, and trying to better understand the God I believe in, Creation, and get a deeper understanding of it all. This faith is a central component of my wanting to better understand the world of atoms, particles, and all the other microscopic "stuff."
2) My love of chemistry, specifically math-focused chemistry such as quantum mechanics, molecular thermodynamics, and the very "weird" nature of it all. Trying to understand the craziness is fun for me.
3) I want to work (hopefully) with either big explosions or big lasers.
What does Black History Month mean to you?
A month to celebrate all the African American individuals, their past, and to showcase how a person's skin colour has no relevance in them achieving greatness.
