What motivates you to do/pursue science and/or medicine?
As a kid, I was on the receiving end of the service of countless medical professionals’ expertise and the astounding advances made in science throughout history. I chose scientific research as a career path not only because it fulfills my scientific curiosity but also because of the potential it presents to affect the public through discovery. Finally, science continues to provide me with opportunities that I will continue to take advantage of.
What does Black History Month mean to you?
Black History Month is month where I remember the sacrifices many great Black men and women have made to grant the freedoms that I enjoy in this country.
