Coral reefs are truly remarkable ecosystems and I'm motivated to not only learn as much as I can but also share and teach what I've learned the best way I can!

Ever since I was young, I have always enjoyed spending time outdoors and immersed in nature. And out of these experiences, the ones that stick out the most tended to involve the ocean or the tropics.

From visiting the Caribbean islands where my parents were born and snorkeling along the shoreline, to my first time scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef at the age of 14, these experiences led to a deep appreciation and fascination with coral reef and tropical marine ecology.

The more I learned about how important these vital ecosystems are for the countless communities found not only in the Caribbean but around the world, I knew that in becoming a marine biologist I could make a difference by learning how to protect and maintain these stunning and beautiful habitats.

Coral reefs are truly remarkable ecosystems and I'm motivated to not only learn as much as I can but also share and teach what I've learned the best way I can!
