What motivates you to do/pursue science and/or medicine?
I was motivated to become a physician due to the disparities in communities of color and not seeing physicians that looked like me growing up. Having the opportunity to give back to communities that I grew up in has been overwhelmingly rewarding to me.
What does Black History Month mean to you?
Black History Month means representation of my heritage. It takes on the meaning of being proud of my people and all we have been through and will keep striving to achieve.
