What motivates you to do/pursue science and/or medicine?

In addition to curiosity and the constant desire to be challenged, science brings me satisfaction like no other. I have always wanted to become a doctor to be able to help people and save lives. But my love for research and technology led me on a different path. I am now able to help people and save lives on a larger scale by working at one of the most prestigious biotech companies.

What does Black History Month mean to you?

Black History Month to me is a reminder of how far we have come and a reminder of how long we still have to go. Black History Month is also about honoring our ancestors and continue the work they have started.

Anything else you would like to share?

I always go by, “Do not fear failure, but rather fear not trying.”
