What motivates you to do/pursue science and/or medicine?

There is nothing like the joy in a student’s face when the hard work of science classes clicks for them. I have been running a biology department as well as teaching anatomy/physiology for over 20 years. Students come back to see me all the time and let me know how they are progressing in their careers.

What does Black History Month mean to you?

A time to acknowledge the greatness in the African American community.
