What motivates you to do/pursue science and/or medicine?

Medicine for me has always been a calling and a privilege. Noninvasive cardiology has allowed me to help others by providing compassionate and cutting-edge care in the mitigation and prevention of cardiovascular disease, which is widely prevalent in communities of color that have traditionally been underserved by the medical community. I also am able to bring a cultural competence to bear that is of value to many of my patients.
