What motivates you to do/pursue science and/or medicine?

I have great strength in the STEM fields of math and science because I have always functioned best in an exact and quantifiable environment, going back to elementary school or before. Those skills have also served me well in various business and personal financial endeavors throughout my life. And I'm not done yet!

What does Black History Month mean to you?

Black History Month is an opportunity to honor and acknowledge those from the diaspora who have come before as a vehicle to educate African Americans and the entire global population of our contributions and worth to society.

Anything else you would like to share?

As I enter this stage of my life, I am honored to even be considered as an elder worthy of being recognized by the Eberly College of Science in particular, and Penn State in general. Penn State has been very good to me. I have been fortunate enough to earn two degrees from the institution. In closing, a bit of humor: If God isn't a Penn State fan, then why is the sky blue and white?
