Pursuing a career in science enables me to satisfy my thirst for learning, while actively employing my current knowledge to understand how the immune system interacts with and regulates the composition of the gut microbiota.
Currently, I am a second-year graduate student in the lab of Eugene Chang, M.D. My research focuses on understanding the function of secretory IgA in regulating the composition of the gut microbiota. Through such research, I hope to garner insight into how the gut microbiota can be altered to promote health and prevent various diseases.
