Hispanic Heritage Month
Title: Visiting Assistant Research Professor of Statistics
Degrees: Ph.D. in biostatistics, Florida State University (2020); M.S. in mathematics, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (2015); A.B. in mathematics, Ripon College (2011)
I find the elegance of scientific arguments to be what drives me. The objectiveness to much of the methodology is very appealing.
Hispanic Heritage Month means remembering to have pride in one's history. It means remembering the struggles my people and my family have had to endure, and knowing we can persevere.
Even though I grew up in inner-city Chicago, I never had a Hispanic mathematics/statistics professor. I'm proud that my students will never be able to say that.
