To me, Black History Month is a dedicated time to showcase what we have done, who we are, and where we are going as a community. It is both a time be thankful and give praise to those who put in the work to get people of color the opportunities they have now. It is also a time to personally reflect on my own contributions to making not just my country, but also the world, a better place
I believe that the more marginalized groups make their way into the science/medical field, the more the entire population will benefit.
