Research Experience:
Black History Month is important to me because it is a time that Black people are celebrated after years of oppression that still at times impacts us today. Black individuals have done so much for the growth of our country and spent decades unrecognized and unappreciated, so it is befitting that we finally have a time that we are acknowledged.
