Black History Month is a time to honor and celebrate African American individuals' achievements, contributions, and resilience throughout history. As a person, it means acknowledging and appreciating the rich tapestry of African American culture, history, and accomplishments, while also working to amend the challenges that persist in the past, present, and future.
"Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek."—Barack Obama
