What motivates you to do science?
Fascination with the innovations that help positively change our world through chemistry is a source of my motivation. Working with companies that seek to find creative solutions to some of society’s biggest problems, such as those surrounding climate change and agriculture, brings both purpose and excitement to my work.
What does Black History Month mean to you?
Black History Month means paying homage and applauding African American contributions to our nation and recognizing the struggles that were endured. It serves as a reminder of how Black pioneers had a tremendous influence on me and how their actions forged a pathway for opportunities in my education and career. Furthermore, it signifies the importance of helping pass the torch on to others.
