Office of Communications

Partner with Us

We steward the college’s reputation and brand, advising leadership on strategic communications and marketing.

As part of a University-wide network of communications professionals, we liaise with other Penn State colleges, campuses, institutes, and University-level entities—such as the Office of the Senior Vice President for Research and Penn State’s Office of Strategic Communications—for coordinated storytelling across University, local, state, national, and global media channels, as well as cohesive reputation management, strategic messaging, and branding.

If you have news to share about a scientific discovery, an award or other recognition, or a unique research, education, or outreach experience, we’d love to hear from you!

We partner with college faculty and leadership, postdocs, graduate and undergraduate students, staff, and alumni using a variety of purposeful storytelling techniques for optimal reach to target audiences.

Whether your communications goal is focused on research, teaching, or service, we look forward to partnering with you to show the impact our college community is making on the world!

Some of the tactics we may recommend to best tell your story include the following:

  • press releases
  • feature articles
  • announcements of awards and other honors and achievements
  • promotion of public events
  • social media posts and campaign support
  • promotional publications and designed graphics such as posters and digital signage
  • branded merchandise
  • visual media support, including photography and strategic videography
  • media training for faculty experts
  • web content and email marketing

If you’re interested in partnering with us, please review our Make a Request page before reaching out to us at sci-comm@psu.edu.
