Staff Advisory Committee

Become A Shadow Member

The Shadow Member has an integral role within the Staff Advisory Committee. Becoming a shadow member allows individuals the opportunity to participate at committee meetings without serving as a committee representative, as well as allows the committee to gain additional insight and work with the staff it represents.

A Staff Advisory Committee (SAC) Shadow Member is defined as follows:

An unofficial person attending the committee meetings – to attend with a member to help with event tasks and business of the committee OR to stand in place of an official committee member if they are unable to attend. Unable to vote.

Participating as a Shadow Member is a great way to be a part of the committee without holding an official title. You can come to one meeting or to every meeting; whatever your schedule will allow. If you are interested in taking advantage of this opportunity, reach out to the chair of the SAC or speak with your Office or Departmental's SAC member and ask to tag along to one of our monthly meetings. We look forward to having you!
