Two different degrees in mathematics

We offer two separate degree programs: a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in mathematics. The B.S. program has six different options: Actuarial Mathematics, Applied and Industrial Mathematics, Computational Mathematics, General Mathematics, Graduate Study, and Systems Analysis.

Math Tutors

Do you need a tutor? Penn State offers free math tutoring.  The information can be found on the Penn State Learning page. Private tutoring for a fee is also available.

Office Hours

Math faculty have set office hours specifically to meet with students. This is a great opportunity for you to meet those who can help you with your classes, advise you on internships or career options.

It's possible to get credit for math courses taken at other institutions. You only need to have the course reviewed by the Admissions Office.
