CTSI Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Research Design

The CTSI University Park Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Research Design (BERD) core at The Pennsylvania State University offers one-stop service for researchers who need study design, biostatistical and data management expertise. We provide Penn State researchers with a full range of biostatistical expertise and service. Generally, the first four hours of consultation is provided free of charge. Graduate students and junior investigators will have priority for the free service. We work closely with researchers from many different fields, such as researchers in basic science, biobehavior science, nutrition, physiology and others. Researchers may receive help with projects and grant preparations. Services range from purely advisory assistance to complete statistical analysis, and data management support for projects. Expertise in study design and statistical methodology Access to ongoing research developments in statistical methodologies, data collection, data management and data analysis Educational activities that cover the principles of biostatistical analysis, design and analysis of clinical trials, genomic data analysis and statistical computing.
