Visiting the Penn State Physics Department
We look forward to your visit and aim to make it as seamless as possible. Below, you will find directions from both Harrisburg International Airport and University Park Airport. The University Park Airport is more convenient to campus.
Physics Department Address:
Department of Physics
Penn State University
104 Davey Laboratory
University Park, PA 16802
Directions to Campus from Harrisburg International Airport:
One way to get to Penn State is to use the door-to-door shuttle service, Keystone Shuttle. When you exit the terminal, follow the sign to door-to-door shuttle services. Alternatively, renting a car is another convenient option.
If you opt for public transportation, take the AMTRAK train or the Greyhound bus to State College. From the bus or train station, you can take a local taxi or use the Campus Shuttle Service to reach the University.
From University Park Airport:
University Park Airport is just a few minutes from campus. Taxis and Ride share services like Uber and Lyft are readily available at the airport. Alternatively, you can rent a car from one of the on-site rental agencies.
Public Transportation and Parking:
Public transportation is recommended over driving to campus because parking can be challenging. However, there are several public and private parking lots near the campus perimeter. For those driving, hourly parking is available at the Nittany Parking deck located at 200 Nittany Ave, State College, PA 16802.
Once you leave the parking deck, walk toward the main campus area. Davey, Whitmore, and Osmond Laboratories are near the center of campus, just north of Old Main.
For more information about visiting campus, please visit the main Penn State Eberly College of Science website.
