Bio: I joined Penn State in Fall 2022 to work under the supervision of Professor Eugenio Bianchi. Prior to this I studied physics and mathematics at the University of Chicago, where I worked with Professor Robert M. Wald.

Research Interests:

I am most interested in understanding information loss during black hole evaporation and what observables look like in quantum gravity. Currently, my research takes a two-pronged approach in understanding how black holes behave, by analyzing two opposite extremes:

  1. Close-up, in a strong-field regime using quasilocal horizons
  2. Far-away, in a weak-field regime using asymptotic structure.

My work borrows techniques from mathematical relativity, quantum information, and quantum field theory, in order to better understand the dynamical evolution of black holes and their impact on quantum fields.

During my time at Penn State I have worked closely with Professors Eugenio Bianchi (my advisor) and Abhay Ashtekar.
