Most of the patients visiting Mercy Health are seniors, 65 years or older. Every time a patient visits the Mercy Health, for what ever reason, the hospital records the status of diabetes of the patient as one of {not-diabetic, pre-diabetic, diabetic}. Records of the status of diabetes are available to our team for a large number of patients, collected over a span of time. The number of visits a patient makes is random. The times at which a patient visits are also random. The research talk is to model the movement of the status of diabetes over time. We proposed a continuous time finite state space time homogeneous Markov Process for the data on hand. We have also identified significant factors affecting the movement. We want to share the findings with you.
